RETAIL PRODUCT, “a sure way to develop your business”

There are lots of ways through which firms can fast track their development and ensure an increase in their profit base. I think and I know one of these ways is the designation of a retail product. What then is a retail product? Retail products are products that are accessed by everybody irrespective of social class at a reasonable price.
You see, one of the greatest things many organizations are not doing is the inability to develop a product that can be accessed by everybody in a particular country. Firms and organizations in my own estimation tend to make more money, leverage on economies of scale and have a wider coverage of their market base when they develop a retail product.

For instance firms like Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Mtn and other big multinationals become huge and have a large share of their respective market base just by developing and offering a retail product that can be accessed by everybody, anywhere in any country irrespective of the nation’s economy. A bottle of Coca-Cola can be bought by an American and also by a Djiboutian thus making Coca-Cola a market leader in soft drinks both in America and also in Djibouti. Hence, for firms to be able to expand their market base and become a market leader there is a need to design a retail product that can be accessed by everybody irrespective of their social class.

MAKING MONEY BY CREATING VALUE.

The best and the biggest way to make money is by “creating value”. You see the world’s enterprise system is built on value.
Contrary to popular belief, all you need to succeed in this world is not money, because money itself is an illusion created as a mechanism of payment for value created. The reason why people are willing to exchange money for gold is because gold is valuable. So to understand the principle and concepts of making money, you will have to understand that:

1. You don’t make money by working for money; instead you make money by creating a value.

2. “Adding value is the single most powerful personal attribute you can possess”---Les McKeown.

3. “If you have anything really valuable to contribute to the world, it will come through the expression of your own personality – that single spark of divinity that sets you off and makes you different from every other living creature.”-----------------Bruce Barton

Creating value literarily means creating something (either a product or a service) that meet the needs of people and solve the problems people face.
Humans have diverse needs ranging from physical to spiritual needs, and these needs are the hidden or untapped opportunity that you need to solve so as to satiate the problems people are facing.

How do I create value you may ask? Well, the bible says in 2Peter 1:3 that “God has given us everything we need for life and Godliness” which literarily mean that you have been gifted with what you need to create value.

You have to leverage on your gifting, talents and potential in creating a product or service that can ultimately meet the needs and solve the problems people are facing. This product should be targeted towards meeting a particular need or solving a particular problem.

Doing this, will put you on the pathway to creating wealth. But remember “You don’t make money by working about money; instead you make money by creating a value”.

REAL WEALTH

Money is not real; it is our illusion that gives credence to “paper” otherwise called “money”. Never ever seek to make money, seek to create value. There is a spiritual machination that tends to direct money to all those who create value. Opportunities for creating wealth (money) abound all around us, but because people are busy looking for money, they fail to see these opportunities. And really money is not real (concrete) and what creates or spins this money is opportunities but because people are ignorant of this fact, they live their lives chasing shadows and serving what is not real (i.e. money). So the real money are opportunities for creating value, see them and do them and you will be creating a money spinning stream that will keep on making (creating) money as long as you keep on discovering more opportunities for creating value.

BUILDING A SUCCESFUL FUTURE, THE YOUNG PEOPLE ASK!

Excuse my asking guys, but guys what do you understand by the word “future”. You see, to most guys the future is something like 10, 20 years to this time. Well, sorry to disappoint you pals, the future is only a second away as a matter of fact, the future is now. So quit wasting time and join in espousing ways through which we can create a successful future and attain a more bright future.

1. Quit joking, be serious
One of the greatest bedeviling most of us “youths” is that we tend to think that the future will sort out itself and so we tend to be complacent treating everyday with impunity without laying a solid foundation for our future. Am I trying to say you shouldn’t have fun, NO I’m not saying that, As a matter of fact have fun. Fun though is not in you cruising and acting as though you own the whole world, disrespecting your elders and acting as if you’ve got it all. Fun is in you being serious enough to lay a solid foundation for your future. The quality of the success you are going to enjoy in the future will literarily depend on the quality of foundation you have set for yourself. So quit joking and start preparing for your future because the future starts NOW!! so how do you do that, well start by first understanding what will be your contribution to humanity, what service or product do you want to offer that will make life more beautiful, you have to know your service and streamline all your effort towards getting all the information, techniques and other stuffs that will make you deliver the best product. NOTICE” the quality of your service will determine how much people will be willing to pay you” so rather than Xboxing, invest your time in learning how to develop a quality service.

2. Be service conscious
Rather than combing the entire city of New York or Lagos looking for a job, please just do me a favour by asking yourself this basic question “what do I have to offer”. You see, the greatest problem people are facing is that they tend to think that all they need to be successful is for them to get a job doing anything well, any job will give you any “pay” package. We have to change our thought pattern from just getting a job that pays at the end of the month to creating services that satisfy wants and meet the needs. We have to have a productive mentality because without that we may never attain success. Lets strive to produce quality service and product that can effectively meet needs and solve problems. People will only pay us in accordance with the quality of our product.

3. Build a system
One of the main stuffs that will fast track your success is the quality of the people you build around yourself. No matter what you want to do, build a system of quality people around yourself afterall, what makes the big companies become big is the quality of their people. So, nothing stops you too from building a board of quality and well experienced people, build an “A TEAM” of successful and well versed professional that can contribute their quotas towards fast tracking your success. 4. Network, network and network with people of like minds. Anyway, if there’s anything that you have to do is to “truly be passionate about serving people because it is in serving people effectively that you will truly be successful”.

FAST TRACKING AFRICA’S DEVELOPMENT

There’s a general problem going on in Africa right now, and that’s basically the problem of “under development”. Underdevelopment according to oxford advanced dictionary, is defined as “a country with unexploited potential” Basically, over here in Africa, we tend to view underdevelopment as poor road, poor economic system, irregular electricity and inadequacy of physical infrastructures. Well, I beg to disagree. According to the aforementioned definition, underdevelopment has little or nothing to do with inadequacy in physical infrastructures. Under development basically has to do with “PEOPLE” What makes a nation to become developed is not in the quantity of its physical infrastructures, but in the quality of its people. Africa as a continent has a low human capital development with a vast percentage of Africa‘s labour force concerned with making money with a little consideration for effective and good service delivery. A large percentage of our labour force are not productive and that’s basically one of the main reason why we are undeveloped. So, in fast tracking Africa’s development, we have to:

1. Invest in manpower development.
A nation will only develop in accordance to the development of its people”. Hence, there’s has to be a massive shift into human development. We, as a continent must place more premium on our people as machinery to fast track national and continental development. We have to invest in our people by creating good and sustainable educational curricula that can re-invigorate the mentality of our people making us to shift from a resource based economy into a knowledge based economy. This, will not only make us to develop more efficiency with our resources, it will also make us to achieve sustainability by leveraging on our knowledge together with our God given resources in creating a developed Economy.

2. Create a sustainable organizational structures
Effective structures must also be created in order to fast track continental development. One of the greatest problem bedeviling against Africa is poor organizational structure. Everything has to be structured in such a way that the average individual must be able to attain their potential and everything have to structured with a superior organizational structure in order to enhance and promote efficiency. Structures have to be set up in the financial sector, educational sector, governmental ministry and other relevant ministerial organizational in order to promote efficiency and effective service delivery.

3. Change organizational and institutional beliefs
There’s a belief in Africa that says “just get a job and you will be fine” Well, sorry guys a job is not the ultimate, “service is”. You see, there’s so much poverty and poor institutional development in Africa that gives little or no credence to talents with people doing jobs that they have no little or no ability. This is basically one of the main reasons why we have poor product and service delivery. Well, to address this we have to change this belief and begin to change organizational belief from making money to offering quality service(s) We have to remodel the thought pattern of African workers from just getting a job that pays at the end of the month to creating services that satisfy wants and meet the needs of their fellow Africans. We have to have a productive mentality because without that we may never attain development. Let’s be quality conscious, let us change our mentality from “just getting a job” into creating sustainable and efficient products and services that will meet the needs and solve the problem of our people and the world at large.
